Youth Confirmation

"The Christian does not think God will love us because we are good, but that God will make us good because he loves us."
- C.S. Lewis

Baptism unites believers to Jesus Christ forever! At St. Mark's, many of our students are baptized as infants. In infant baptism a child is united to Jesus Christ and his parents assent to raise him in the reality of that truth!  Confirmation is the moment when each individual confirms the commitment made on his or her behalf at baptism.

Students (9th grade or older) at St. Mark's have the opportunity to engage faith in Jesus Christ, reveling in the mystery of the Trinity, learning church history, and studying the Nicene Creed, Scripture, and other foundational documents of Christianity.  These classes are designed to help students come to a mature decision to follow Christ.  In the spring students may choose to be confirmed along with others in the parish at our annual confirmation service.

This year we will be calling the Youth Confirmation a Cornerstone group.  On Oct 13th we will have a kickoff event for all youth cornerstone groups call Ropes and Retreat!  Mark your calendar and be looking for details.  Click Here for Details

Classes will be on Sundays throughout the Fall and Spring semester.  They will be from 4:30 - 6:00 with dinner served from 6:00 - 6:30.  If you would like to help with dinners, please sign up on our St. Mark’s website.  Click Here
